BEWITCHED, BOTHERED AND BEWILDERED: SPATIAL EMOTION IN CONTEMPORARY ART AND ARCHITECTURE

This anthology seeks to explore the psychological associations we make with space and the associated social constructs. It describes the extremes of space and its psychological environment, including spatial disorders such as agoraphobia and claustrophobia. It is the pathology of space that conjures up images of hysterical, panicky and neurotic states. At the same time, however, space is also presented as a place of mystery, the unfathomable and temptation.
